To stand for election takes money but not necessarily very much. To start with, there is the £500 deposit, which I will get back if I gain at least 5% of the vote. The rest is taken up in publicity, administration and travel costs.
As I am part standing because of the expenses scandal, albeit that was the motivation to stand not the policy by which I am standing. I vowed to make my expenses and donations as transparent as possible so you will be able to download the latest snapshot from this web page. Please be aware that this is a snapshot in time and although I am endeavouring to publish a snapshot every time the expenses sheet is updated, it may not necessarily be right up to the minute. My aim is to ensure that it is never more than 24hrs behind.
All I ask is that you do not modify it in any way and you do not publish it anywhere without my express permission.

Please note: These expenses and donations are also registered with the Electoral Commission, to comply with the law, and although they are declared "expenses" I do not actually get any of the money back. I am largely self funded with donations from a few supporters.
The "No Candidate Deserves My Vote!" party has one aim and that is to introduce a bill to Parliament to have a "None of the above" option added to every local and general election ballot paper of the future. That way you can exercise your democratic right to vote to say that none of the parties currently represents you. It will also encourage your democratic responsibility to turn out to vote.
A MORI poll carried out on behalf of the Electoral Commission in 2001 predicted that up to 30% more voters would turn out to vote at an election if they had an opportunity to vote for no-one.
Stephen Phillips is your "No Candidate Deserves My Vote!" candidate for Stevenage. A vote for Stephen is a vote for "None of the above" bringing democracy to the disaffected.
